Debrina Kawam has been identified as the victim of the subway arson in Brooklyn, New York

Debrina Kawam was a 61-year-old woman from New Jersey who was lit on fire and burned to death on a subway train in Brooklyn, New York on 22 December.

She was finally identified using fingerprints. It took over two weeks to identify her, that’s how badly she was burned alive.

What makes this crime so horrific is not only because of what the monster Sebastian Zapeta did to her, but that nobody helped her. People stood there taking photos on their cell phone, and nobody helped her What kind of society do we live in, when somebody could get torched in front of people and nobody steps in to help

Sebastian Zapeta, 33, a previously deported illegal immigrant from Guatemala, has been indicted. on 1 count of murder in the 1st degree, 3 counts of murder in the 2nd degree and 1 count of arson. in relation to the horrific case.

Tragedies happen and the arsonist was clearly mentally disturbed, But no excuse for the people who filmed it and watched without trying to intervene.

what happened to this poor woman. She was targeted to be Sebastian’s victim, because she was vulnerable. Nobody cared when it happened, and nobody cared after it happened. Life will go on for everyone, except Debrina Kawam. Rest in peace
