When a 13-year-old is accused of killing his classmate Katie. his family, therapist and the detective in charge are all left asking, what really happened? He says he is innocent. DI Luke and DS Frank are tasked with gathering evidence for the case to try Jamie with the conviction as he is held in a detainment facility.
As the story progresses there are some phenomenal scenes showcasing the perfect cast, Stephen Graham and Christine Tremarco play Jamie’s parents who experience a roller coaster of emotions, shock and anger.
In Episode 2, there were 320 children, 50 students and adults, playing teachers and parents, and they had to combine the scenes in one place, which required intensive preparation and training.
Episode 3, in particular. Jamie (owen coooper) he does a brilliant job. Outstanding, exhausting, mesmerising, brilliant and heartbreakingperformance.
Adolescence it a brilliant series but episode 3 in particular is nothing short of brilliance, mind you it’s a one shot so it’s an hour of dialogue back and forth in one room. A directing and acting masterclass. It is a deep, sad and The story is heartbreaking .
Director achieves something truly remarkable, The entire series is filmed in long, uninterrupted takes an ambitious choice that demands patience but pays off brilliantly.
Great writing and amazing acting are added together you get a brilliant show.
