On Monday May 12 rapper Tory Lanez was assaulted in prison, resulting in 14 stab wounds, including grievous injuries to his back, torso, and face.
Tory was promptly transported to an external medical facility following the attack at Tehachapi about 75 miles 120km north of Los Angeles, prison officials told the BBC. Correctional Institution in California at approximately 7:20 a.m.

Tory is now serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020, Lanez was convicted of three felony counts: assault with a semiautomatic handgun, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the motive behind the attack.
He is now in stable condition and says he is “thankful to God” for surviving.
His team released a statement stating that he is in good spirits and breathing on his own despite being in pain.
