Christopher Nolan chooses Morocco, Ait Ben Haddou to stand for the city of Troy in his adaptation of the Odyssey.

Today, while only a few families still live in the old part, it is a major tourist attraction and has been used as a filming location for numerous movies and TV shows, including Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and The Mummy, and Now The Odyssey.
