María José Estupiñán, a 22 year-old university student, was a Colombian model and influencer was attacked after receiving an alleged gift at her home in Cúcuta, Colombia , the attacker pretended to be a delivery driver. The young woman went out to receive an alleged address and what she received was a shot that caused her immediate death.
Maria Jose Estupiñan, known as” La Mona”, was killed in Cúcuta, on the morning of May 15. Her mother upon hearing the detonation and seeing her daughter fall screamed as the gunman ran across the street to meet his accomplice with whom he fled on a motorcycle.
All this happened under the inert gaze of several people, who despite some neighbors and relatives shouting to grab him, no one did anything.
The news has generated shock in the university community, where teachers, colleagues and friends remember her as an enthusiastic young woman, committed to her career and full of dreams to fulfill.
The parents of the young woman are asking for justice, from our midst we send our sincere notes of solidarity to all her loved ones.
