The artwork, entitled Comedian, was created by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan.

Despite its simple appearance, the banana
captivated audiences, leading one overeager
viewer to remove the fruit and eat it, causing a
backup banana to be quickly brought in. A crowd of selfie-seeking fans gathered around, and the artwork had to be temporarily withdrawn.
