YouTuber joe Hattab has offered one of the most in-depth looks at the prison’s interior yet. He also takes a tour of the solitary confinement chamber, a narrow cell comprising only a raised concrete platform used as a bed alongside a rudimentary toilet bbasin.
In the video Joe Hattab said that meat and chicken are not allowed, Prisoners are fed a basic diet of rice, beans, pasta, and hard boiled eggs, forced to eat with their hands as utensils are deemed potential weapons.
Joe Hattab has seen a lot on his journey. But, CECOT is something else. It’s not just a prison. This is a symbol. Symbol of unbridled power. A symbol of endless suffering. A symbol of a country that chooses peace over freedom.

Opened in January 2023, prison CECOT was designed to detain up to 90,000 individuals El Salvador may be safer now. one thing is certain, CECOT will remain a monument to darkness. A reminder that hell does not only exist in the afterlife. Hell can be made on Earth. El Salvador has proven it.
